Most students who "struggle with maths" are actually missing one or two foundations everything else was built on. I find those gaps first, fix them, and the rest gets lighter.
Further Maths rewards students who can hold several techniques in mind at once. I studied it myself to A*, so I know exactly which topics feel disconnected at first, and how they actually link together.
Physics is where my degree and my tutoring overlap most directly. Mechanics, materials and electricity aren't just exam topics to me, they're what I study. Seeing the physical picture before touching an equation stops students reaching for the wrong formula.
Chemistry rewards structured thinking more than any other science: moles, mechanisms and energetics all follow patterns. Once a student sees the pattern, whole topics compress into a few clear ideas.
English is offered at GCSE only, the level where structure and technique make the biggest difference, before subject-specific literary specialism starts to matter more.
